Feb 29 Meeting | DiNapoli-Mylet and FD Mural

  • 29 Feb 2016
  • 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM
  • Gateway YWCA | Multipurpose Room
WPNA has scheduled a neighborhood meeting Monday, February 29 at 6 p.m. with Marianne DiNapoli-Mylet – local Winston-Salem artist and longtime (until recently) Washington Park resident – to assist her in gathering ideas for the mural she’s designing and painting on the Family Dollar store.

The meeting will be held at the Gateway YWCA in the Multi-Purpose Room (main floor, through the turn-style).

The mural format – 3 panels, 4' x 8' each – is shown below in green. The panels will be located on the wall of the Family Dollar store along Acadia Ave., at the Broad St. intersection.

Marianne welcomes your thoughts and ideas about subjects to include in the mural, and encourages people to bring photographs, visual inspiration and stories to share at the meeting in order to make the mural a meaningful reflection of Washington Park – past and present.

To see a selection of Marianne’s public art projects around Winston-Salem – which includes the mural painted on the furniture store at Hollyrood and Acadia – please visit dinapoli-mylet.com.

We hope to see you on Monday evening at the YWCA!
